Colonial First State (CFS) has completed its executive restructure with the financial services company making two final appointments yesterday.
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA)-owned company has hired Linda Elkins as its full-time executive general manager, effective immediately.
Elkins has been acting in the role since the company undertook a reshuffle of its executive management team in May.
As well as Elkins’ appointment, CBA has recruited former Suncorp Life executive John Crosswell as general manager of strategic development for wealth management.
Crosswell will officially begin his duties on 13 August.
A company spokesperson told InvestorDaily the appointments were the last two in the leadership team.
In May, CFS undertook a restructure of its senior executive management team, resulting in the separation of its advice and CFS businesses.
The restructure created two new roles: executive general manager of advice and executive general manager of CFS.
The restructure also meant the then CFS chief executive Brian Bissaker was made redundant.
Elkins has acted in the role since then while the group searched for a replacement.
At the time, CFS distribution general manager Marianne Perkovic moved into the executive general manager role of advice businesses, including Count Financial.
Prior to Elkins’ appointment to the role, she was general manager of marketing and distribution at CFS.
Previous to joining CFS in March 2010, she held several roles in the superannuation industry, including Russell Investments managing director of superannuation.
