Cboe Global Markets has announced the launch of a global listing network to facilitate worldwide access to capital and secondary liquidity for companies and ETFs.

In a statement on Friday, Cboe said it has now enabled companies to go public on its US exchange, with further corporate listing expansion planned for its exchanges in the Netherlands, the UK, and Australia over 2024.

Moreover, all of its listed stocks in the US and Canada are also available for trading in its European exchanges, with Australia to follow, according to Cboe.

Dubbed Cboe Global Listings, the market operator said its new offering focuses on the “purpose-driven innovation economy”, targeting growth companies and innovative investment products that are addressing world challenges and shaping future economies.

Commenting on the launch, Dave Howson, global president of Cboe, said: “Cboe has built an expansive, global equities footprint unrivalled in the industry that uniquely positions us to deliver the first-ever truly global listing experience for issuers seeking to tap new markets beyond their home region.

“The new Cboe Global Listings offering draws on our 50 years of markets expertise, deep regional experience in all the jurisdictions where we operate, and the combined strength of our global equities exchange network to provide locally optimised and centrally coordinated listing services and support.”

Mr Howson added that Cboe’s global reach is ideally suited to meet the needs of companies and asset managers of the “innovation economy” seeking to raise capital and grow their assets.

Along with last week’s announcement, financial software firm Abaxx Technologies has been welcomed as the first intralisted issuer on its global platform.

Abaxx is currently listed on Cboe Canada and has received conditional approval to list on Cboe’s US platform. Upon “intralisting”, the market operator said that common shares of the company’s stock will also be tradeable on its UK and Netherlands exchanges.

“Abaxx has been a valued partner of Cboe Canada over the years, and we are excited to deepen our relationship by welcoming them to the Cboe Global Listings network,” commented Jos Schmitt, president and CEO of Cboe Canada and senior vice-president, head of global listings for Cboe.

“Through our extensive global exchange network, Abaxx can access key financial markets around the world to gain greater investor exposure, liquidity, and capital-raising opportunities to accelerate their growth,” Mr Schmitt concluded.
