Mr Dell has 31 years of experience in the financial services industry including 26 years in distribution-related roles and joins 4D from Pinnacle Investment Management where he served as director of distribution.

He was also formerly head of distribution at RARE Infrastructure where he worked alongside 4D’s current CIO Sarah Shaw, who highlighted Mr Dell’s “exceptional experience” in the funds management industry.

“Matt will be able to hit the ground running at 4D, with significant relationships in the industry, a strong infrastructure background, and an understanding of our team and process,” said Ms Shaw.

In the newly created role, 4D said that Mr Dell would help expand the firm’s footprint in distribution and marketing.

4D has also promoted two of its investment analysts to senior investment analysts who will take on additional responsibility during the firm’s ongoing growth.

Christopher James joined 4D in 2016 and previously worked as an investment operations analyst at RARE Infrastructure, as an accounts analyst at GO Market and as an accountant at Logicca Chartered Accountants.

Meanwhile, Tasneef Rahman joined 4D in 2017 and was formerly in the corporate finance team at Crowe Horwath and a fund data analyst at Morningstar.

“Since joining 4D, both Chris and Tasneef have grown significantly as analysts with incredibly strong modelling skills, a growing depth of coverage of their core universe, evolving relationships with companies and brokers, and conviction in portfolio calls,” Ms Shaw said.
