Mr Sarantzouklis has more than 23 years’ experience in banking and finance. Before starting his own consulting business, he was with Westpac, with his most recent position as chief product officer for the consumer bank.
Prior to this, he was chief financial officer for St George Bank Group.
“As an experienced banker, Mr Sarantzouklis has a proven track record in people leadership and customer advocacy,” BOQ said in a statement.
Mr Sarantzouklis has been responsible for products across the retail and business bank divisions for Westpac New Zealand.
He has also held senior roles at GE Money and AVCO Finance.
