Bloomberg partners with McGrath Foundation

Sydney's financial services employees are lacing up their running shoes for the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay on 16 March.

The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will be held in Darling Harbour, Sydney on Wednesday 16 March – and the McGrath Foundation has been has announced as the official charity partner.

The Bloomberg event in Sydney will join the “established global race series made up of London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai events”, according to a statement by Bloomberg.

Participants will work their way through a one-mile (1.6 kilometre) closed running route in Darling Harbour.

“As the official charity partner for the event, the McGrath Foundation will receive a $10,000AUD donation to help fund and develop their work across the country,” said Bloomberg.

Bloomberg Australia head for Australia and New Zealand, Emily Gordon, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the McGrath Foundation has agreed to be our charity partner.”

“The spirit of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay has always been anchored in giving back to the community blended with camaraderie, health and well-being, and fun,” Ms Gordon said.

“Bloomberg has been a long term supporter of breast cancer awareness and this partnership builds on the work we have done locally and globally.”
