Mai Platts has been named as account director for NSW and the ACT, at Bennelong Funds Management in a move that continues the firm’s efforts to build its investment distribution team.
Ms Platts has 16 years of funds management experience across key account, dealer group and adviser relationship management.
She joins Bennelong from BetaShares, where she was responsible for supporting distribution activities and working with key accounts and intermediary channels in the role of director, key accounts and adviser business.
In her new role, Ms Platts will work alongside Bennelong account director David Whitby and will report to head of distribution Jonas Daly.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Daly said that her industry knowledge and experience in managing key accounts and adviser relationships made her a great addition to the team.
“Mai joins the business at a key time in our development, and will help drive business opportunities across our key markets,” he said.
Ms Platts also previously held roles at iShares and Macquarie and holds a bachelor of agriculture economics and a master of business law.
