When Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) president Dennis Bateman attended the Asia Pacific Life Insurance Congress in Taiwan he bravely attempted to sing “Happy Birthday” in Mandarin to his wife in front of 10,000 advisers.
At the Professional Investment Services (PIS) conference at Sutera Harbour Resort, Sabah, Malaysia, chief Robbie Bennetts jumped on stage with the PIS band to belt out several rollicking numbers. The super songster finished with a rendition of Tina Turner’s anthem “Simply the Best”.
The four-day conference, titled A Super Year, featured a red gold rock ‘n roll theme dinner and was attended by more than 1000 of PIS’ 1354 advisers. PIS has pulled off $15 billion in funds under management.
