InvestorDaily’s ESG Summit is returning as an in-person event in 2022 across Sydney and Melbourne to delve into key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues confronting asset managers and advisers as Australia faces the greatest wealth transfer in history.

The summit will include a full day of expert-led sessions, keynote addresses, panel discussions, with speakers contributing to the increasing debate around the evolving ESG landscape and issues such as climate change, gender equality, and social issues.

The sessions will aim to arm advisers with tools and strategies to engage socially aware and proactive clients.

Australian Ethical has announced that it has jumped aboard as a platinum partner of the summit.

The ethical wealth management company – which is based in Sydney – has $6.4 billion in funds under management and over 71,000 clients (as at 31 December 2021).

Australian Ethical head of client relationships Leah Willis said the company is “delighted” to support the summit this year and assist advisers with understanding responsible investing to enable them to build portfolios “that are ready for the changes the world is expected to make”.

“With consumer interest in how we can live our lives more sustainably rapidly accelerating, demand for financial solutions that focus on ESG factors is surging as people seek to make their money matter through responsible investment decisions,” she said.

“For financial advisers, this can mean navigating an army of complexities to get it right for clients.

“As we enter 2022, the ongoing impact of the pandemic is a sharp reminder of our interconnectedness. And as the popularity of ESG investment strategies continues to grow, the ESG Summit is an unmissable opportunity to help advisers integrate sustainability into clients’ investment portfolio.

“On behalf of Australian Ethical, we look forward to seeing you there.”

The ESG Summit will take place in Melbourne on Thursday, 17 February, and in Sydney on Thursday 17 March 2022.
