ANZ has found a replacement for former group treasurer Rick Moscati after he moved into his new role as chief risk officer.

In a statement, the major bank said Adrian Went, who is responsible for credit and capital management at ANZ’s Financial Institutions Group, will fill the vacancy of Rick Moscati from July.

Mr Moscati is among a number of individuals from ANZ, Citi and Deutsche Bank who have had criminal cartel charges brought against them by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.

All three financial institutions have said they will “vigorously defend” the charges.

Mr Went has held a number of senior positions at ANZ, such as acting group treasurer, head of balance sheet management, and head of market risk New Zealand.

Mr Went will report to chief financial officer Michelle Jablko, who said: “Adrian’s proven treasury experience combined with his deep knowledge of our business and capital management makes him the ideal executive to lead our treasury function during the continued transformation of ANZ.”

Mr Went will be based in ANZ’s Melbourne offices.
