Super SA appoints new CEO

South Australian public sector fund Super SA has named Dascia Bennett as its new chief executive.

Dascia Bennett brings over two decades’ experience in the superannuation industry to her new role with a particular customer-oriented focus, spanning “employer and member services, business development and key stakeholder management”, according to a statement.

Prior to taking up her new position, Ms Bennett was executive manager, customer at education industry super fund NGS Super for nearly four years, where she assumed responsibility for customer solutions.

Before NGS Super, she held a variety of senior managerial and business development roles at Energy Industries Superannuation Scheme, REST Superannuation, Members Equity Bank and Australian Super.

Commenting on the appointment, Super SA board presiding member Annette Hurley said, “Dascia brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and will be a great asset to Super SA.”

Former federal senator for South Australia Ms Hurley joined the Super SA board alongside Richard Dennis in September 2016.
