The newly appointed BlackRock country head for Australia, Dominik Rohe, has commenced his role in Sydney.

Mr Rohe has worked at BlackRock for over 10 years, and has held positions in various countries including the US, the UK and Germany.

“I am delighted to be joining the team today and look forward to capitalising on opportunities alongside my new colleagues in this evolving market,” Mr Rohe said of his appointment.

Most recently, Mr Rohe led the company’s institutional and wealth lines for Latin America and Iberia. BlackRock Asia-Pacific chairman Ryan Stork says this experience will be a “great asset” to Mr Rohe in his new role.

“His appointment adds impetus to our efforts in delivering tailored investment solutions and risk management advisory to a diverse local client base,” he said.

Mr Rohe takes over from Justin Arter, who has returned to the UK following four years in the role in Australia.
