The Prime Minister has revealed the latest rise in early super numbers.

There have now been 950,000 applications to access superannuation, worth $7.9 billion in claims. That’s up from 527,000 claims totalling $4.4 billion, as of last week.

When the numbers were first announced, 456,000 Australians had requested early access to their superannuation, totalling $3.8 billion in claims. The average withdrawal was $8000.

More to come.
