Queensland government employee superannuation fund QSuper has hired from within its ranks to appoint a new chief financial officer.

Kulwant Singh-Pangly has been appointed to the role having worked as QSuper’s head of tax for the last three years.

QSuper said Mr Singh-Pangly will officially commence as CFO on 17 December and will lead its governance division to provide legal, regulatory and financial guidance to the business.

Prior to joining the government employee superannuation fund Mr Singh-Pangly held senior roles at AMP, Deloitte Australia and Clayton Utz.

“Kulwant Singh-Pangly has brought a wealth of knowledge to QSuper in his three years as head of tax,” QSuper chief executive Rosemary Vilgan said.

"His combined financial and legal experience will be a tremendous asset in his new role, particularly given the breadth of CFO responsibility at QSuper,” she said.
