Don Stammer joins Centric Wealth's portfolio construction committee.

Australian economist Dr Don Stammer has joined the portfolio construction committee of dealer group, Centric Wealth.

Stammer started work with the privately-owned dealer group as a non-executive expert this month through an arrangement with Philo Capital Advisers (Philo), Centric Wealth said in a statement.

The committee has been working with Philo for the last three years, using the company's analysis for its quarterly asset allocation targets for client portfolios.

Commenting on his appointment, Stammer said: "I am a strong believer in the importance of asset allocation and I am impressed with the way Centric Wealth and Philo have partnered to combine personal advice and portfolio tailoring with expert management of asset allocation and security selection."

Centric Wealth chief executive Phil Kearns said Stammer's appointment adds "gravitas" to the investment component and will further enhance the excellent services the company receive from Philo.

"We couldn't be happier to be working with Don," Kearns said.

Centric Wealth has more than $3.5 billion of funds under advice (FUA) with more than $1 billion of that administered through managed accounts making it one of the largest managed account services in Australia.
