The wealth division of National Australia Bank (NAB) has appointed Mike Fitzsimons as general manager of MLC wrap platforms.
Fitzsimons had been acting in the position since May and was looking forward to continuing in the role, MLC said.
Commenting on Fitzsimons's full-time appointment to the role, MLC investment platforms executive general manager Michael Clancy said: "I am delighted that Mike has accepted the role of general manager - wrap platforms. Mike's background and extensive knowledge of the wrap platform market make him the perfect choice to manage this business.
"He brings an incredible amount of experience to the team."
Fitzsimons's appointment was a stand-alone announcement for the group and not part of any wider changes, an MLC spokesperson told InvestorDaily.
He has worked for MLC for more than 40 years, most recently as MasterKey Custom general manager and Plum Financial Services chief executive. He is also trustee director of a number of superannuation funds within NAB Wealth.
