Listed financial services firm ClearView Wealth has hired Barry Odes to the newly-created role of chief operating officer.
Odes joins the firm from CMC Markets where he held the position of managing director for the group's Australian and New Zealand operations.
In his new job, he will be responsible for various business units within ClearView: distribution, marketing, financial planning, operations, human resources and information technology.
As a result of Odes' appointment, ClearView Wealth head of marketing and communications Scott Alomes will leave the company.
Prior to his time at CMC Markets, Odes held senior executive positions at Goldman Sachs/JB Were, including chief operating officer of the group's private wealth division.
"His experience and knowledge auger well to capture those opportunities and assist in driving long-term sustainable value for ClearView's shareholders," ClearView Wealth managing director Simon Swanson said in a statement.
