OneVue has expanded into the medical profession and has received interest from other sectors.

Platform provider OneVue is building its first intermediated consumer platform for the Australian Medical Association (AMA), with the possibility of future offerings for other industries.

The WealthDirect platform will allow AMA members to access wholesale managed funds, direct shares and separately managed accounts while also managing record keeping and reporting efficiencies.

OneVue chief executive Connie McKeage said the project had been underway for the past three months and was due to be launched during the first half of 2012.

McKeage said while OneVue would not actively approach the consumer market for platform opportunities, it had been in discussions with interested parties and was likely to facilitate their requests in the near future.

WealthDirect will be built on a single platform, which will reduce the administration fees.

It also features an online portal to fully consolidated reporting through its website as well as a lifestyle budgeting and planning tool called WealthVue, created to assist AMA members to understand their wealth position and financial strategies.

OneVue was chosen by Sherlock Consulting as the most appropriate provider to develop the platform for the 26,000 AMA members across Australia.
