In the job with AMP Capital Investors, Sillanpaa will be responsible for sourcing infrastructure deals, conducting due diligence and managing a portfolio of assets.

Ringer will be involved in deal origination and the structuring of investments.

Both will be based in the London office and report to AMP Capital's head of infrastructure Europe Boe Pahari.

AMP Capital Investors currently manages a number of infrastructure assets in Europe including Thames Water, West Utilities, Angel Trains and Kenyeri Hydro.

"With our growing team we are well positioned to capitalise on the increasing need to build and replace essential services at a time when governments are seeking private capital," Pahari said.

The firm has also created a new role in its Sydney office. Chris Wade has been hired as portfolio manager separate accounts.

In the newly created job, Wade will manage AMP Capital Investors' infrastructure separate accounts business.

He previously worked at Deutsche Asset Management's business, RREEF Infrastructure.
