AIA looks to cut claims time

AIA Australia is developing new technology aimed at reducing the time it takes to complete claims.

The eClaims software, to be launched later in the year, will streamline information collected from the claimant and third parties, resulting in reduced turnaround time for completing claims.

The technology will also remove some of the complexities involved with making a claim.

"EClaims will also look to address the traditional barriers usually associated with group claims by complementing the electronic lodgement and triage of claims with a tele-collect service, which will improve member experience, significantly reduce paperwork and enhance communication with members and third parties," AIA Australia chief distribution and marketing officer Damien Mu said.
