Independent Victorian dealer group MCA Financial Planners has attracted 12 practices and 14 advisers.

Independent Victorian dealer group MCA Financial Planners has attracted 12 practices and 14 advisers. It now has 20 practices and more than 30 authorised representatives, including accountants with basic authorities for discussing investments without giving written advice. Offices are in Darwin, Emerald in Queensland, Tamworth and Taree in New South Wales, Belmont in Western Australia, Sydney and Melbourne. MCA's model attracted financial planners as well as accountants new to the advice industry, MCA Financial Planners managing director Terry O'Brien said. "Our model lowers costs, which can be passed onto clients," O'Brien said.

Its new additions are: Dr Steven Enticott of CIA Wealth, Moorabbin, Melbourne; Rob Officer of Maxima Financial, Armadale, Melbourne; Leo Dynes of KRH Financial Services, Heidelberg, Melbourne; Darrel Good of DR Good Financial Planning, Townsville, Queensland; Ralph Merrell of Merrell Associates, Mosman, Sydney; Paul and Juliet Brady of Your Share Financial Services, Bowral, NSW; Alan Oliver and Bhaveek Savadia of GBI Holdings, Belmont, WA; Darren Cowell of Yunari Taxation Consultants, Vaucluse, Sydney; Rajeev Shirodkar of Green & Gold Enterprises, Sydney; Damian Crowe of DC Financial Advisory Services, Epping, Sydney; Nick Holder of Clarendon Investment of Port Melbourne, Melbourne; and Tiibu Rayamah of Zain Capital Partners, Burwood, Sydney.

Former Apogee Financial Planning licensee Alan Henderson has joined WB Financial Management (WBFM) to open its new adviser business in Sydney's CBD. Henderson has more than 30 years' experience, including jobs at ANZ and Deloitte. "We aligned ourselves with WBFM because the group could support our desire to provide a more comprehensive financial service," Henderson said. WBFM has 17 offices across Australia.
