Schroders expands sales teams

Schroders adds to its institutional and retail sales team, making two senior appointments.

Schroders Investment Management Australia has expanded its institutional and retail sales team, making two senior appointments.

Kerrie Howard has joined the institutional sales team as institutional client director and will be based in Melbourne, while Chris Boyd will work in the retail sales team as research relationship manager and will be based in Sydney.

Formerly a director of institutional sales at ABN Amro/Fortis, Howard brings to her new role more than 25 years' experience in the financial services industry, with previous positions at BNP Paribas and ANZ Asset Management.

"We are exceptionally pleased to have someone of Kerrie's calibre join our team," Schroders' head of institutional sales Ray Macken said.

"She is a highly experienced and respected distribution professional in a part of the market which has grown significantly for Schroders in recent years.

"We look forward to Kerrie working with our clients and consultants in Victoria and also nationally."

Boyd joins Schroders from Tyndall Investment Management, where he most recently held the role of investment specialist. He has considerable industry experience, having worked in investment research and relationship roles with Asteron, Aegis Equities Research and MLC over the past 10 years.

"Our retail business is growing strongly and Chris's broad experience across domestic and international equities, fixed income and multi-asset makes him an excellent fit within the Schroders team. We look forward to him joining us," Schroders head of retail sales David Hallifax said.
