Wingate creates new senior management position

Executive director appointed

Boutique international equities manager Wingate Asset Management has assigned Louise McIlwraith to the newly-created role of executive director, overseeing general business management.

In her new role Ms McIlwraith will have responsibility for business development and client and investor relations, promoting Wingate and building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Wingate is a joint venture between Australian Unity Investments and Melbourne-based Wingate Group, and Ms McIlwraith will be working closely with Australian Unity in her new position.

Ms McIlwraith has more than 20 years' experience in the financial services industry and previously held a position at Perpetual, where she was general manager, sales performance and operations.

She held prior positions at BGI (now BlackRock) and Prudential in senior client relationship and business development roles, with a particular focus on training and education.

Ms McIlwraith is also a member of the Financial Planning Association and an affiliate of the Securities Institute of Australia.
