MFS Investment Management has appointed Ross Cartwright as head of platforms following the company’s decision to bring distribution of its Australian and New Zealand business in-house.
Mr Cartwright, who has almost 20 years’ experience in the industry, will focus on platform development and sales in Australia and New Zealand and will liaise with research houses. He has spent the last five years with Mercer Investment Consulting as a principal and senior investment consultant.
MFS Investment Management said Mr Cartwright’s appointment would strengthen the firm’s local presence.
“Ross will bring valuable experience to MFS in Australia and to our platform clients and prospects,” senior managing director for Australia at MFS Investment Management, Marian Poirier, said.
“As MFS expands its presence and capabilities in the region, we are extremely excited to have Ross join our team.”
