Former chairman of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and AMP Capital executive, Glen Saunders, has been appointed director of business development, endowments and foundations at BNP Paribas Investment Partners in New York

BNP Paribas Investment Partners is the autonomous asset management business of the BNP Paribas Group and has global assets under management totalling $645 billion. The institution's US-registered investment advisors have US$63.1 billion in assets under management.

Mr Saunders has been tasked to further develop the sales of BNP Paribas Investment Partners US and global products among the major university endowments and foundations.

According to Robert Harrison, BNP Paribas Investment Partners president and CEO North America, Glen offers an excellent combination of skills to the role as the business seeks further expansion in this sector.

"His energy and background working with non-profit institutions will be valuable in our engagement with endowments and foundations across the US. This appointment follows a number of other recent hires and initiatives in our commitment to grow the business."
