Steele, currently Horizon’s director, will report to AMP’s director, advice network and strategic development, Andrew Waddell. Steele will take over from Neil Swindells who has led Ipac since 2009. Swindells will move to a role with AMP’s direct equity investments in financial planning practices across several licensees. While AMP’s other licensee groups will remain unchanged, licensee service will be consolidated under a new division, called AMP Advice. Waddell and Steve Helmich, who currently holds a role at AMP as director, advice network and client solutions, will lead the new division. The changes are expected to formally take effect during the first quarter of this year.
