Growth strategy sees the creation of a new role.

Perpetual Private Wealth has appointed Peter Whitehead to the newly created role of national manager fiduciary solutions, a position aimed at building scalability and broadening its distribution services.

Specifically, the position has been designed to lead the strategic direction and management of Perpetual's trust advice and estate planning operations.

Whitehead joins Perpetual Private Wealth with extensive experience in the legal profession and trustee industry, having worked as a solicitor and general counsel to the Public Trustee.

Most recently, he was the chief executive of the Public Trustee.

"In order to help expand our services and become a leading provider of trust advice and estate planning in Australia, we are pleased to have appointed Peter who brings with him an immense amount of knowledge and expertise in this area," Perpetual group executive private wealth John Nesbitt said.

"Peter will manage the estates, trust and property teams to ensure we deliver a consistent and quality experience for our clients.

"In addition, he will develop and maintain a leadership role with industry and community representative bodies such as the Trustee Corporations Association."

Upon his appointment, Whitehead said he was keen to work in an advice and services business that offered a broad range of financial solutions.

"Perpetual is one of few organisations that, in addition to strategic and investment advice, can also prepare wills, administer estates and offer trustee services, allowing us to assist clients through all stages of their life and beyond," he said.
