UK sustainability specialist Impax Asset Management has set its sights for expansion across the local region, signing Fidante Partners as a distribution partner for Australia and New Zealand.

The BNP Paribas Environmental Equity Trust, an Australian product managed by Impax, is set to be rebranded to the Impax name and distributed by Fidante.

Impax founder and chief executive Ian Simm commented Fidante is “very well-positioned” to support his company’s growth aspirations, across local institutional and wholesale clients.

“As a significant player in the market, Fidante’s focus on partnering with specialist asset managers matches our own position as a specialist manager focusing on the transition to a more sustainable economy,” Mr Simm said.

Fidante is also keen to grow its footprint in sustainable investment. John Burke, Fidante Partners global head called Impax a “pioneer” in the space, with it focusing, for more than 20 years, on the transition to a more sustainable economy.

“We seek to partner with investment managers who are committed to continuous progress in ESG integration,” Mr Burke said.

“As demand for high-quality sustainable products continues to grow, we’re delighted to offer investors access to one of the pioneers in global sustainable investing.”
