CFA Societies Australia has announced the appointment of its first ever national chief executive to grow the association and recognition of the designation across Australia.
Lisa Carroll will take on the role at the end of September and will be tasked with representing CFA Societies Australia’s members and charter holders across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Ms Carroll joins CFA Societies Australia from Good Shepherd Microfinance where she was chief operating officer and responsible for improving the delivery of financial inclusion products and affordable financial programs to low income families.
CFA Society Sydney president Ganesh Suntharam said the announcement of a national chief executive was in order to grow the association moving forward.
“This appointment marks an important next step in the evolution of our local societies,” he said.
Mr Suntharam said Ms Carroll was perfectly positioned in the role to continue to push the mission statement of the societies.
“This appointment allows us to expand our engagement with members and with the industry more broadly and to build on our mission of promoting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence across the financial services industry,” he said.
Lisa will start her role as CEO of CFA Societies Australia in September and will be supported in Sydney by the CFA Society Sydney executive director Michaela Francis and the CFA Society Melbourne executive director Graeme Miller.
