BNP Paribas Asset Management has joined the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) after its environmental equity trust received certification from the industry group.
BNP Paribas Asset Management has joined the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) certification program and has also become an official member of the responsible investment group.
The announcement accompanies the RIAA certification of the BNP Paribas Asset Management environmental equity trust as being ‘true to label’.
Commenting on the decision to join the RIAA, BNP Paribas Asset Management Australia chief executive David Grybas said: “The firm is aligned with local investors who demand sustainable products and who are looking to invest responsibly.”
“Through the BNP Paribas environmental equity trust’s ‘deep green’ environmental investment strategy, BNP Paribas Asset Management Australia is now offering a sustainable investment option with a ten-year strategy track record,” Mr Grybas said.
The news follows the recent appointment of Jane Ambachtsheer as BNP Paribas’ global head of sustainability.
