Robo-advice firm Ignition Wealth has appointed Manish Prasad as its new chief executive.

Ignition Wealth co-founder Mark Fordree has announced the appointment of former KPMG Australia director for wealth management, Manish Prasad, to the role of chief executive.

In his new position, Mr Prasad will drive the robo-advice firm’s growth into the savings, retirement and scaled advice markets, the statement said.

Prior to that, he was based in New York for a year and a half at Capital Position Ventures as senior vice president of growth strategy.

He has also held roles at Genesys Wealth Advisers, ipac, and AXA, and occupied manager and senior manager positions at NAB.

Mr Fordree said the board and staff were “extremely pleased” to have Mr Prasad lead the firm.

“Manish is a deeply experienced and well respected financial services executive, whose expertise and knowledge will guide Ignition Wealth as we continue to grow,” Mr Fordree said.

“From our beginnings, an important focus for Ignition Wealth has been to ensure that our executive team boasts industry experts who can provide real thought leadership.

“The appointment of Manish Prasad reflects this,” he added.

Commenting on his own appointment, Mr Prasad said the digital financial advice industry had reached “a very exciting stage”.

“I am looking forward to driving the business at Australia’s leading B2B robo-advice solutions provider Ignition Wealth,” said Mr Prasad.
