Berkshire Capital expands Australian presence

New York-headquartered investment bank Berkshire Capital has announced the appointment of two financial services industry veterans to lead its Australian operations.

The boutique M&A specialist has announced Nelson Lam as principal and executive director and Glenn Dunn as the company’s vice president, with both to be based in Sydney.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Lam amassed 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He was previously the director of funds management for Chase Corporate Advisory.

Mr Dunn has served as the chief financial officer of Ascalon Capital Managers Limited and worked in senior roles at St. George Bank Wealth Management and GIO Asset Management.

Berkshire UK partner John Humphrey said, “Expanding our team and broadening our coverage footprint further enhances our international platform.”

Berkshire’s vice chairman for Asia-Pacific Ian Martin also commented on this development, saying that “the addition of Nelson and Glenn will allow us to take on a broader array of opportunities and is very timely given the market developments we are seeing”.
