Savills Investment Management has announced Lee Tredwell as its new head of investment for its Australian funds management business.
The appointment follows the opening of a Sydney office in 2016 and is intended to help expand the global real estate fund manager’s national presence, according to a statement announcing the move.
“The scope and depth of Lee’s investment experience in the commercial real estate space is invaluable to our expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Savills IM CIO Kiran Patel.
“Lee’s appointment serves to bolster Savills IM’s presence in the Australian real estate market, where we are looking to tap investors’ increasing appetite for offshore real estate.”
Prior to joining Savills IM, Mr Tredwell spent 10 years at GE Capital Real estate, overseeing the multinational’s equity and debt investments in Australia and New Zealand.
