Watermark Funds Management has announced the appointment of Simon Felton to the role of portfolio manager, working across capital goods, transport and infrastructure.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Felton worked at Platinum Asset Management as a senior investment analyst, working on the company’s flagship international fund for 12 years.
“Simon is a great addition to our team and we are happy to attract someone of his calibre to the business,” said Watermark chief investment officer Justin Braitling.
Watermark Funds Management also announced the appointment of Rani Singh as a business development manager to support the company’s adviser network.
Ms Singh has also worked at Ellerston Capital and Macquarie, and Watermark said her appointment was intended to meet growing investor demand for alternative investment strategies.
“As global share market volatility continues; we are experiencing a growing demand for absolute return products. In a sustained low interest rate environment, investors are looking for alternatives to traditional long only funds,” Mr Braitling said.
