AMP Capital has announced the appointment of its new co-head of the New Zealand fixed-income division following a re-alignment of its operating model.
Vicky Hyde-Smith, previously senior portfolio manager with AMP Capital, has been appointed to the role, and will work alongside fellow co-head and New Zealand managing director Grant Hassell.
Referring to the appointment, Mr Hassell said he was “pleased to recognise the strong internal talent” within the company.
“After working with Vicky closely during the last 15 years, her appointment is well deserved and represents a positive step towards ensuring the New Zealand Fixed Income team continues to deliver a strong performance for our clients,” he said.
Ms Hyde-Smith joined AMP Capital New Zealand as a fixed-income analyst in 2001. Prior to that, she held a position with Sumitomo Finance in London, working with the Japanese fixed-income market.
Her new role was created as part of an organisational restructure which took effect at the beginning of June 2016.
