Pimco has announced the appointment of a new executive vice president and portfolio manager of distressed credit.
Lionel Laurant will take on the role of executive vice president and portfolio manager at Pimco, focused on distressed credit.
Pimco managing director and chief investment officer, non-traditional strategies, Marc Seidner said: “Lionel’s experience and knowledge of the European market are a strong addition to our global team and we will continue to expand our expertise in this area to capitalise on opportunity on behalf of our clients.”
Mr Laurant joins the firm from Bayside Capital where he was a managing director. He has also held positions with Barclays Capital and Banc of America Securities.
He will be based in Pimco’s London office.
