The Sydney-based group confirmed the appointment this week.
Risk management professional Saira Cader will join Crescent Group as its head of risk and compliance with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Ms Crader has previously led the credit teams for Pepper Group, Commonwealth Bank and GE Capital Finance, as well as also holding risk and compliance roles with start-ups including Nano Lending and Xinja Bank.
“Saira’s diverse experience across compliance, credit risk and risk management, together with her leadership and relationship skills, provide an ideal skill set as the group builds a strong executive team,” group executive Brendan White said.
“We anticipate benefits from her deep knowledge and specialised expertise as our business continues to evolve.”
Ms Cader said of her appointment: “Robust risk and governance frameworks are critical in today’s changing regulatory and legislative environment, and I look forward to working with Brendan and contributing to the success of the group.”
The appointment comes after the Crescent Group announced a target of $5 billion for super funds under management by the end of 2026.
