Jenny Josling has been appointed as chair of Orbis Australia, after almost 15 years at the helm as managing director.

Orbis Australia, the contrarian global asset manager and sister company of Allan Gray Australia, has announced the appointment of Jenny Josling as chair of Orbis Australia, with Jason Ciccolallo set to take over from Ms Josling as managing director.

Ms Josling will continue as a director on the board of the global company, Orbis Holdings Limited, which oversees $51 billion in funds under management, $14.5 billion of which is from Australian institutional and retail funds.

“Jason has been instrumental in building and managing many of our key institutional partnerships since joining in 2008 and has worked closely with me as part of our executive team. He is well respected in the industry, and we are very fortunate to have someone of his calibre taking Orbis Australia forward," Ms Josling said.

Since bringing its flagship global equities offering to institutional clients in 2005, institutional client assets held by Orbis have grown to $13.7 billion.

“While we have grown significantly since launching in Australia, we have never been focused on asset growth. Our sole purpose is to bring net value to our clients, and we are structured to support that investment performance over the long-term.

“We have found a great group of advisers to work with in the retail channel who recognise our strong credentials, stable investment team and respected long term track record.”

Orbis has partnered with its sister company Allan Gray Australia to bring its suite of global products to advisers and their clients in Australia.
