GSFM has announced the appointment of a key account manager to their Sydney office, reporting to their head of retail distribution, Stephen Fletcher.

Joshua Nissenbaum joins the firm from Vanguard, where he served as a senior business development manager (BDM) – his experience in Australia and overseas is said to be key to the hire.

“During a career of more than 13 years in Australia and the United States, Joshua has specialised in communicating financial advice to both clients and advisers, along with distributing financial products,” said GSFM chief executive Damien McIntyre.

“He has worked with a range of products and is knowledgeable about portfolio construction across all asset classes, management styles and investment structures, including managed funds, ETFs and managed accounts.”

Prior to working at Vanguard, Mr Nissenbaum’s experience includes time as a BDM at Challenger Limited, as well as a financial adviser at the Commonwealth Financial Group in the US.

He also holds a level 1 CFA.

“He has worked with a range of products and is knowledgeable about portfolio construction across all asset classes, management styles and investment structures, including managed funds, ETFs and managed accounts,” Mr McIntyre said.

“Joshua is a solid builder of relationships and has created a strong network in the industry. He brings a proven sales ability and an advanced knowledge of financial products as a CFA, to the role.”

The news coincides with GSFM’s confirmation that assets under advice in ANZ have hit the $16.4 billion mark.

“Joshua joins GSFM at an important juncture in business growth, with a number of new product launches and new fund manager partnerships planned in coming months,” Mr McIntyre said.
