Milford Asset Management will be making switches across four of its investment funds from April.

Paul Morris is set to become the lead portfolio manager for Milford’s Diversified Income Fund, transitioning from being portfolio manager for the Trans-Tasman Bond Fund, Global Corporate Bond Fund and cash funds (Investment Fund and KiwiSaver).

He will replace portfolio manager David Lewis, who has resigned to focus on family and planned personal projects.

Mr Morris will be supported by a new co-manager of the Diversified Income Fund, Dan Simmonds, from April, while Mr Lewis will also work in a co-manager capacity until the end of June.

Mr Lewis has been with the group for eight years, having managed a number of its funds.

He is set to remain at Milford until 30 June, although his portfolio manager responsibilities will formally transition from April.

Meanwhile the new co-manager, Mr Simmonds, had previously worked with RARE Infrastructure for seven years, before joining Milford in 2019.

Replacing Mr Morris in his previous positions, Travis Murdoch will be portfolio manager of the Tran-Tasman Bond Fund, Global Corporate Bond Fund and cash funds from April.

Prior to joining Milford, Mr Murdoch worked for institutions including JP Morgan and RBC Capital Markets.

Mr Morris will become a co-manager of the Trans-Tasman and Global Corporate Bond Fund, alongside Ian Robertson from April. He will also continue in his role as portfolio manager of Milford’s conservative funds.

He has been with the group for five years.

Katlyn Parker will remain co-manager for the cash funds.
