Melbourne-based asset manager SG Hiscock & Company has appointed a new key account manager as it broadens distribution lines to reflect strong investor demand.

Rebecca Collins will step into the newly created role, with responsibility for developing channel opportunities across Australian equities and Australian property securities, as well as global equities through the company’s partnership with Morgan Stanley. She will report to Anthony Cochran, head of distribution.

“Rebecca will be actively engaging with senior research, consulting and management personnel within our existing and prospective distributor network,” Mr Cochran said.

“The current trading environment gives rise to pursuing new distribution avenues, and Rebecca’s skills and experience will help the business achieve this objective. We believe the capacity to recruit staff of such calibre will provide our team with a competitive edge in the market.”

Ms Collins has held a number of marketing and relationship management positions across the financial services for more than two decades, including roles at MLC Asset Management, NAB Asset Management and Wealth Distribution, UBS Wealth Management, and Macquarie Bank.

Ms Collins also holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Western Sydney and a master of commerce from the UNSW.

She will be based in SG Hiscock’s Sydney office.
