CreditorWatch has appointed a new chief economist as it widens its coverage of the Australian business sector.

Harley Dale joins CreditorWatch from the Housing Industry Association, where he spent a decade as chief economist and later executive director for skills and industry development. Based in Canberra, he will report to Mitchy Koper, general manager of marketing and communications.

“Harley brings unprecedented experience working with leading domestic and global firms and senior policymakers to guide them through economic decisions that impact thousands, if not millions of people,” said CEO Patrick Coghlan.

“Throughout his tenure at HIA, he provided comprehensive economic insight into the Australian property industry, accurately forecasting outcomes for both the property and business sectors. Harley’s experience working with professional economic modelling will take CreditorWatch’s insights to new heights and [help inform] lenders, trade credit providers and policymakers in Canberra.”
