Yarra rolls out promotions

Yarra Capital Management has announced a string of promotions across its Australian equities investment team “in recognition of the continued development of its staff”.

Michael Steele, previously deputy portfolio manager for Yarra’s Australian smaller companies equity capability, has been promoted to co-portfolio manager alongside Katie Hudson. Mr Steele previously spent nine years as an investment manager for Goldman Sachs, and is responsible for analysing ex-100 stocks and the IT sector within the Australian equities team. 

Olivia Dalton has been promoted to senior investment analyst, covering industrial companies within the Australian equities team. Ms Dalton joined Yarra from AustralianSuper, where she was an equity analyst covering infrastructure and utilities, and holds a bachelor of commerce and master of finance from the University of Melbourne. She is a CFA charterholder.

Marcus Ryan has been promoted to deputy portfolio manager of the firm’s broadcap Australian equities capability. He previously spent 11 years as an investment manager at Goldman Sachs, and is responsible for research and analysis of real estate, healthcare and building materials securities within the Australian equities team.

Edward Waller has been promoted to deputy portfolio manager of the ex-20 equities strategy, with responsibility for banks, diversified financials and insurance, infrastructure and utilities securities within the equities team. He previously spent 10 years as an investment manager for Goldman Sachs.
