First Sentier appoints global infra head

First Sentier has appointed an infrastructure veteran to head up global investments for its unlisted business.

Niall Mills will serve as head of global infrastructure investments of the unlisted infrastructure business following Perry Clausen’s promotion to global chief investment officer. 

Mr Mills joined the senior management team as partner in the European infrastructure business in 2008, where he had responsibility for managing portfolio investments as well as for due diligence related to new investment opportunities. 

He has extensive experience in infrastructure, utilities, and regulation, and has held senior roles with Southern Water, Honeywell Novar, Bechtel, and United Utilities.

Mr Mills has a master’s of business administration from London Business School, an Institute of Directors diploma in company directorship, and a bachelor of engineering (honours) from Sheffield Hallam University. He is also a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
