Shaw and Partners picks head of research

Shaw and Partners has promoted a senior analyst to lead its research.

Andrew Hines has become the firm’s head of research, after joining the firm last year to cover its mid-cap mining and energy sectors. 

Mr Hines is reported to have more than 25 years’ experience in equities research.

He previously had worked as a senior research analyst at Evans and Partners for three years, following seven years as an executive director of equity research at CBA.

Mr Hines was also head of research at Morgan Stanley Australia in 2005 to 2007.
