The insurer has appointed two industry veterans to key positions in South Australia and Victoria.

PPS Mutual has appointed Robyn Faber to the role of business development manager (BDM) for South Australia, while Steven Walker will fill the role in Victoria.

The roles commence effective immediately, and will involve “supporting the PPS Mutual proposition amongst select financial advisers”.

“In these extraordinary times, it is more important than ever to be communicating the unique PPS Mutual proposition to financial advisers across Australia,” said PPS Mutual director of distribution Brian Pillemer.

“We are confident that Steven and Robyn’s expert experience align with the PPS Mutual mission to provide exceptional insurance benefits to eligible professionals and to create security and peace of mind for members during both their working lives and in retirement.”

Ms Faber has 22 years of experience within the financial services industry, and previously held a sales development manager role at TAL.  She joins PPS from Asteron Life, where she was also a BDM, and has held a number of adviser positions at various wealth management and financial planning businesses.

“Having worked as both a financial adviser and also a business development manager, I am particularly looking forward to working with and educating advisers on the unique benefits that arise from the mutual model,” Ms Faber said.

Mr Walker joins PPS after holding BDM roles at TAL and Asteron Life and has held BDM and sales roles with AIA Australia, AMP, and AXA Australia.

“Mr Walker brings a wealth of understanding and knowledge to PPS Mutual, amid the current industry and broader climate,” Mr Pillemer said.
