First Sentier Investors has hired Nikko AM’s Australian head of product and strategy Hendrie Koster as its new head of investment product research and assurance.
Mr Kostie will lead his team, which is focused on building a global product research capability to identify long-term commercial opportunities.
Prior to Nikko, he held a number of roles in Mercer’s investment team in London and Sydney.
Meanwhile the company’s head of product, EMEA, Kerry Baronet, has been promoted to lead the pooled fund management team, as part of First Sentier’s recently established global product function.
First Sentier launched the function in November to enable the business to better identify product development opportunities.
The pooled fund management team is responsible for developing a profitable, sustainable and strategically targeted product suite across global markets.
First Sentier global head of product, Clare Wood commented: “With these senior resources now in place, the [global product] function is well equipped to take broader responsibility for connecting market opportunity with investment capability, ensuring we remain competitive in a complex global market.”
