MyState appoints interim CFO

Banking and wealth management group MyState has hired Gary Dickson from ME Bank to be its interim chief financial officer.

Mr Dickson has commenced with MyState from this week, assuming responsibility as interim CFO on 19 October.

He has a fixed term contract with the group until 30 June 2020.

Mr Dickson’s recent most recent role was at ME Bank where he held the position of CFO for six years and was credited for driving growth across the business.

During his tenure, Mr Dickson led the finance team through a core banking platform replacement program.

Melos Sulicich, managing director and chief executive of MyState said: “We are delighted to welcome Gary to our executive team. Gary is a proven, high-calibre CFO with unique and relevant experience that is important to the ongoing success of our operation.”

Prior to ME Bank, he was CFO for AXA Australia, where he headed the delivery of statutory, regulatory and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for AXA’s Australian subsidiaries.

Mr Dickson has also held senior positions with Colonial First State Group, Portfolio Partners and CBA where he was general manager, finance – investment and insurance services.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in a variety of finance sector roles, having been a CFO for 11 years.
