Pinnacle Investment Management Group has strengthened its institutional distribution team with the appointment of Wes Campbell as the director of distribution, based in Melbourne.
Mr Campbell has over 20 years of investment management experience, most recently as executive director and head of business development at JCP Investment Partners, according to a statement.
Based in Melbourne, Mr Campbell had also served as a senior portfolio manager at the firm. Prior to JCP, he spent 10 years as portfolio manager and senior dealer at Jardine Fleming Capital Partners, part of JPMorgan Asset Management, and before that worked for Macquarie Group.
“I’m thrilled that a senior executive of Wes’ talent and experience is joining our rapidly expanding multi-affiliate business,” said Pinnacle Investment Management executive director Andrew Chambers.
“Very rarely do you find a senior sales professional that has practitioner experience as a portfolio manager and dealer.
“Such a unique combination gives Wes a competitive edge in uncovering needs and identifying solutions with an increasingly sophisticated and rapidly evolving institutional investor base here in Australia and offshore.
“In addition, Wes’ boutique investment experience gives him a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by independent firms in commercialising their vision.”
