UniSuper has appointed a new chief strategy and marketing officer who joins from MLC Life Insurance where he played a lead role in the demerger from NAB.
Anand Thomas will take on the new role leading the marketing, strategy, product and digital functions, working closely with chief executive Kevin O’Sullivan to develop and drive the fund’s strategy.
Mr Thomas’ previous roles include strategy development, marketing and large-scale program management and customer experience roles across Asia for groups like Citicorp, ANZ, NAB and MLC.
Mr O’Sullivan said he was thrilled to welcome Mr Thomas to the role and said his experience from a 20-year career would add enormous value to the team.
“He brings with him a wealth of commercial experience and is clearly a strategic, long-term thinker who will add enormous value and depth to the leadership team,” he said.
Mr Thomas commenced his role on Monday, 22 July.
