ETF Securities has hired Andrew Duncan as a response to its continuing growth in the market.

The former Shaw and Partners investment adviser will join ETF Securities as business development manager and will be responsible for developing new relationships across advisers, dealer groups and platforms.

“I am excited to be coming on board at ETF Securities at a significant time in its development.

“I will look to leverage my experience with a client base spanning Australia to bring extra energy and acumen to what is already a high-performing team,” said Mr Duncan.

ETF Securities chief executive Kris Walesby said the market for the group had increased dramatically and as such they were expanding the team.

“The market for Exchange Traded Products has now topped $45 billion, representing annual growth of 26 per cent.

“Our own dynamic growth as a company reflects our commitment to be a market leader and innovator,” said Mr Walesby.

Mr Duncan’s appointment follows another key appointment for the team made last year with the hiring of former Olympian champion Larry Achike.

“The business has increased staff numbers by 50 per cent in the past 12 months alone. That’s because we know that acquiring and nurturing the right talent is what will keep us relevant to our clients in a rapidly evolving market,” said Mr Walesby.
